ABOUT
Ancient traditions and great passion
The farm was founded by Giuseppe Zafiri in 1949 in the San Giovanni valley in Calamandrana, among the rolling hills of Monferrato.
The village of Calamandrana has a rich soil with a high wine and fruit and vegetable vocation, thanks to this characteristic and the hard work done over the years by generations of farmers, today its landscapes are part of the fiftieth UNESCO site "Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato".
The combination of territory and tradition has led to the creation of an extraordinary terroir, famous all over the world for the culture of making wine, where generations of men have followed one another in the hard work in the vineyard and in the production of excellent wines, such as Nizza DOCG, Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Freisa d'Asti DOC, Cortese dell'alto Monferrato DOC, Moscato d'Asti DOCG and Asti Spumante.
Over the years we have expanded the territories dedicated to the production of wine and driven by passion we have also started the activity in the field of fruit and vegetable production.
Respect for nature is for us a fundamental principle that, combined with the desire to obtain a genuine product has led us to use the "integrated production" as a practice of crop protection.

Shipments
For important orders we serve the areas of Lake Como, Vilminore di Scalve and Grosio delivering the wine at home about 2 times a year.
We also make deliveries twice a week in Turin.

We produce 9 wines from vines variety that find in Calamandrana the ideal terriotory to develop their full potential.

Fruits
The soil of Calamandrana is very rich and gives origin not only to great wines but also to exquisite fruits! The richness of the soil is combined with a completely manual harvest, so that every fruit is picked only when it is ripe and juicy.

Vegetables
Calamandrana is also known for her vegetable gardens!
Our soils on the banks of the Belbo stream produce healthy, nutrient-rich vegetables every year!
Before each market we pick and select the most mature vegetables so that they arrive at your table still fresh.
Every summer on our stall you will find beautiful zucchini flowers picked just for you a few hours before!
